Regular Services
Rentals: We have a variety of 4 & 8 harness looms and a
range of spinning wheels available for rent any time they are not being used
for classes. Rented looms are to be
used at the store. Call for reservations.
Rentals range form $5 to $10 a week. Wind those Cumbersome Skeins into easy pull
balls. We have ball winders/swifts and
bobbin winders available for your use during store hours. We also have several warping boards for use
at the store, all free of charge. Silk Steaming is done on Tuesdays for $3.00/linear yard except
for silk velvet, which is $6.00/linear yard. There is a 2 yard minimum if
yours is the only silk that day.
Please bring in items to be steamed by Monday at Special Orders:

will include special orders in our regular monthly orders from the various
suppliers. If you have a need that
cannot wait and we are able to do so, we will special order it separately for
an additional fee of $10.00. However,
sometimes it is not possible because of the “minimum order” requirements of the supplier. Hold Shelf Policy: We will
hold items up to one month. If your
project is taking longer than 1 month you need to notify us for an extension. If in doubt about amounts of yarn, we
recommend that you buy the extra ball and return it for store credit if you
do not need it. We will take back unopened skeins of any yarn that are still current
(no returns on sale items). As usual cash refunds will not be given,
only store credit. Class Registration, Cancellations and Refunds: Students will need to pay the full class fee at the time they
register. This policy will give our teachers more
certainty about how many paid students will be in classes and will allow us
to accommodate those people on the waiting lists. We suggest registering early because some
classes fill up very quickly. If a
student who signs up gives us notice one week before the beginning of class
that they cannot attend, we will refund the class fee. If we cancel for any reason, we will refund
class fee. If a student signs up
but doesn’t give adequate notice their class fee will not be refunded
nor any credit given. No credit, refunds or makeup classes will be given when
students miss class sessions. Our instructors have requested that you do
not sign up for any series of classes when you have to miss the 1st
class. Book and Pattern Return Policy: There will be no returns
on books and patterns. Special Help:
We
now have specially staffed hours for help: Tuesdays: Noon - 2 pm Thursdays: Saturdays: During these hours there will be an extra staff
person here just to help with problems. Store
