Dale of Norway Trunk Show
Lots of cool Dale of Norway designs will be on display at Village Wools! (dates to be announced).
Dale of Norway has been providing tradition Norwegian Sweater Design since 1879! They are perhaps best known as the designers of the official sweaters for the Winter Olympics since
1980. We will have a collection of Classic Designs from Dale on display at Village Wools. Stop in and be inspired by these timeless designs!

This yarn has long been a favorite around the shop, and now
we're in color heaven! Stop by and feast your eyes, and if

FALL 2008
This Fall at Village Wools:
Our new yarns will be arriving throughout September and October. You will notice how many of these new yarns are made of natural fibers which fits in to the
2009 International Year of Natural Fibers (IYNF)
One of our lovely customers informed us of the United Nations (agriculture division) has declared 2009 as the IYNF. Village Wools has been promoting natural fibers for many years (very little synthetics) and also natural dyeing.
Swatch Group:

Special Help:
We now have specially staffed hours for help:Tuesdays: 12-2 pm
Thursdays: 3-5 pm
Saturdays: 3-5 pm
During these hours there will be an extra staff person here, just
to help with knitting problems. For crochet help, please call to
be sure someone who crochets is here. Linda can help with
spinning and dyeing questions on Tues and Fri. Cathlena can help
with weaving and crocheting on Mon. Thurs., and Fri. Please call
ahead.Village Wools has on-site looms and spinning wheels for you to look at and rent for try-out. We can order the looms and spinning wheels with a reasonable turn around time. Looms: Schacht, Leclerc, Harrisville, Macomber, Ashford, Louet, Glimakra and Norwood. Spinning Wheels: Schacht, Lendrum, Ashford, Louet and Kromski. We also have weaving and spinning supplies.
For those of you taking day-long classes at Village Wools – we have a wonderful large refrigerator for lunches, a microwave, and in addition to the Subway and Pizza place down the street, three new places have opened just across Paseo del Norte ( Greek, Mexican, and Chinese ).

If none of these people look quite right to you, don't worry! It's a really old picture. To make matters even worse, not everybody is even in it! (Some of us weren't even born when this picture was taken!)
For the record, we are trying to get new and current pix of all our friendly woolenites. It's a lot harder than you might think, though, so wait and check back often!

We have over 200 years of fiber experience in dyeing, knitting, crocheting, any kind of felting, tatting, spinning, and weaving. All the material needed for these crafts as well as books and classes are offered in over 5,000, well lit square feet. Join us for free help sessions, Tuesday 12-2 pm, Thursday 3-5 pm and Saturday 3-5 pm. Give us a call to make sure the extra staff member is in.
